What's in Offshore that makes one so much crazy about?
Of all my face-to-face engagements with offshore industry professionals, one thing that I cherish about is the humbleness and relentless willingness to help fellowmen. Almost most of them come from a rough beginning starting at a junior position working day and night on the rig. They go on rotations every 21 days back to their families and come back recharged for another set of daunting tasks. The one thing that connects all the rigs in the whole wide world is the entity we call as "WATER" and I am glad I could be a play a part in understanding the different challenges faced by these men onboard towards water management through my first 5 years of technical experience in Reverse Osmosis and later 8 years of commercial experience in Sales Lead.
How the love of water got me into Oil & Gas?
After securing Bachelor of Technology from Mahatma Gandhi University, I chose to pursue a career in the Water Reclamation industry with the solid foundation in Piping Design ASME B31.3 that paved way to take up Mechanical Design of complex technologies for first 5 years and last 8 years as a Sales Lead. I proved worthy of quickly adapting to the Offshore Oil, Gas & Maritime industries establishing trust and building relationships with Shipyards, Drilling Contractors, Offshore Service Providers, Marine fleet owners in the GCC region.
